As the mother of two fiery little red heads, I understand how busy life can get. Most families I have worked with know the importance of having a plan in place to protect their children and spouse should the un-imaginable happen; but finding the time to go to an attorney’s office and get it taken care of can seem impossible when already balancing work and family obligations, along with children’s school and extra-curricular activities.
I wanted to create a way in which my fellow Michiganders could get quality, attorney created, wills, trusts, and other important estate planning documents without the inconvenience of having to going to a stuffy attorney’s office during limited regular business hours. With this in mind, I developed MI Wills and Trusts as an exclusively online legal practice using technological tools like secure web portals, and video chats. My web-based practice allows me the flexibility to work with my clients at times that fit their schedules. Even better, because I have much lower overhead expenses than other firms, I am able to provide quality, individualized estate plans at a very competitive rate.

As for my qualifications, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University where I double majored in both Public Law and Journalism. I went on to get a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School where I was a Deans List student with an academic scholarship award, a member of the schools Access to Justice Clinic, and a founding board member of the student chapter of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Upon passing the bar, I set out on my own, opening a practice serving clients estate planning, family law, and real estate law needs. I fell in love with the ins and outs of estate planning during this time and have since made it the primary focus of my practice.
